Turcas Petrol owns 50% of the shares of Cekisan, which started operations in 1993 in Istanbul. Partners of Shell Turcas Petrol in Cekisan are BP (35%) and Exxonmobil (15%).
Cekisan started operations in 1993 via renting Exxonmobil’s Cekmece terminal, Shell’s Iskenderun terminal and Antalya terminal- jointly owned by Shell and Exxonmobil. After 2007, where Iskenderun Terminal was taken out of the system, the total number of terminals operated by Cekisan reduced to two out of which Cekmece’s storage capacity is 75636 m³ and Antalya’s is 36805 m³.
