Launched in partnership with the Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey, the Accessible Service Area project was rolled out at 500 stations in a single year. A first of its kind in the sector and slated to be expanded across Turkey, this project aimed to make the lives of guests with disabilities visiting Shell & Turcas sites easier and to render an accessible visiting experience to disabled guests.
Under the Accessible Service Area project, guests with physical disabilities who stop by a Shell & Turcas site can park their vehicles at designated spaces. By pressing the special button adjacent to the parking space, the guest can utilize a wheelchair that is awaiting them with the assistance of site employees. Disabled visitors are also entitled to station employee assistance for their store purchases or to be accompanied to the restroom. They also have the option of receiving service and making a payment without leaving their vehicles.
